Is Chevy Chase OK? Twitter Reacts To The 'SNL' Alum’s Awkward 40th Anniversary Red Carpet Interview

With #SNL40 trending high on Twitter tonight, lots of eyes are on the “Saturday Night Live” special. As the stars began to pour in for the evening’s events, one appearance grabbed viewers attention when a clearly uncomfortable Chevy Chase endured a painful red carpet interview with NBC’s Carson Daly. Chevy apologized for sweating and looked incredulous as Daly sounded as if he were diminishing Chevy’s contributions to the 'SNL' legacy. Ouch.
Of course, Twitter responded in kind with equal part worry and snark:
I hope Chevy Chase is ok because that was a weird interview w Carson Daly. Felt bad for both there.
