“Chicago P.D.” Season 6, episode 19 will not be airing this week. The plot of the next episode will focus on an investigation of Kim Burgess’ (Marina Squerciati) boyfriend, and the investigation will reveal some “dark” secrets.

The title of the next episode is “What Could Have Been.” The plot will focus on a “dark side” to Burgess’ boyfriend that she was previously unaware of. The investigation of his murder will reveal his secrets, but more importantly the real motivation for his murder will uncover a much more “unsettling truth.”

While the plot of the next episode may sound exciting, the fans will have to wait another week to watch the show. The producers of the TV series are aware of how much the fans will miss the show this week, and they posted a GIF of Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) on Twitter to show how people feel when they miss “Chicago P.D.”

Voight was instrumental in securing the peace in the neighborhood in the previous episode. He was not only able to end a gang war, he was also able to bring the feuding Brian Kelton (John C. McGinley) and Ray Price (Wendell Pierce) together to work towards a common goal.

A scene from the previous episode posted on Twitter shows Brian and Ray shaking hands, while Voight observes the exchange. “Voight is judging you,” the caption of the post read.

While Voight has generally been portrayed as a no-nonsense Sergeant of the Chicago Police Department, the previous episodes have shows that the character does have some vulnerability. In the episode titled “Pain Killer,” Voight had to face the fact that he failed a troubled young man after he was sent to juvenile detention, where he was regularly assaulted while a corrupt guard ignored the problems, TV Guide reported.

The troubled young man went on a rampage that eventually ended with his death. Voight will have to live with this death, but what was additionally painful was how the young man’s mother slammed the door on the Sergeant when he offered to pay for the funeral expenses. It remains to be seen what new challenges Voight will face in the next episode.

“Chicago P.D.” Season 6, episode 19 will air on April 24. The fans can watch the show at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
