Convicted killer Chris Watts told investigators in an interview about the murders of his pregnant wife and two daughters that he has since found God.

The 33-year-old has started to read the Bible from cover-to-cover, something he did not do before he entered prison despite only attending one church service, Business Insider reported. Inside his cell, he keeps photos of his wife and children, taking time to read the scripture to them and also sending passages to his parents each day, according to the news outlet.

"I never knew I could have a relationship with God like I do now ... it's like the amazing grace with all of this, but I just wish nobody had to pay any kind of price for this," he said in the interview with investigators.

Watts also said that since he has found God, it has stopped him from committing suicide, which as was previously reported was encouraged by his fellow inmates. Watts has since been moved from the Colorado prison where he was being held to a Wisconsin federal prison.

"I just feel like God moved me here for a reason. Hopefully I can help people that way," Watts said.

Watts is serving three consecutive life sentences for the murder of his family.
