But that doesn't mean Danes' acting days are over just yet. The start has been working hard over the summer on Showtimes breakout series, "Homeland."

Danes' pregnancy curves have remained hidden.

"I've been pretty fortunate thus far. We're in the middle of filming our second season and luckily we've been able to conceal it," Danes reportedly revealed. "They haven't written it in, but they'll be able to manipulate it in post and do some CGI trickery and make [my character] Carrie not so pregnant."

But just because Danes' is being open about the fact that she is having a child doesn't mean she wants to give everything away.

When asked what the gender of the child was, Danes' is keeping tight lipped.

"It is a human being, which is a profound relief," the celebrity joked.

In addition to being excited for having her child, Danes' can also look forward to "Homeland" being nominated nine times at the Primetime Emmy Awards which is set to premiere on Sept. 23.
