Maddie Ziegler will have her work cut out for her in episode 12 of "Dance Moms" Season 5. Lifetime

The Candy Apples are back! The ALDC will have to face their bitter rivals in episode 12 of “Dance Moms” Season 5, and it appears one of coach Abby Lee Miller’s dancers will be their main target.

Following Maddie Ziegler’s appearance in Sia’s record-breaking music video “Chandelier,” Maddie will debut her second starring role in a new music video for the pop singer. However, her performance in “Elastic Heart” – which was released in January -- won’t sit too well with some of the dance moms.

In a promo for “Abby’s Trash, Cathy’s Treasure,” Candy Apples coach Cathy Nesbitt-Stein makes it clear she is not a fan of Sia's latest music video. “I did see it. I almost threw up,” Cathy says.

In a second promo for the episode, Cathy once again slam’s the controversial video which shows Maddie, 12, portraying a wolf and dancing alongside 28-year-old actor Shia LaBeouf. “I don’t think that many parents out there would allow that,” she says.

And while Maddie’s mom Melissa Gisoni admits that Sia’s latest project has “pushed the envelope” she appears shocked when another dance mom attacks her better judgment.

“I would be embarrassed of the video that your daughter was in,” Candy Apples newcomer Melanie Huelsman – her daughter is Season 2 “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” star Haley Huelsman -- tells Melissa and Abby in the first promo. “I can’t see a grown man like that."

Not only will the ALDC team have to worry about defending Maddie’s latest performance in episode 12, they will also have to work hard to beat the Candy Apples at Energy Dance competition in Detroit, Michigan. According to Lifetime’s synopsis for the episode, Cathy will assemble a new team of dancers previous scorned by Abby who are “ready to seek vengeance on the dance floor.” With Abby’s team going head-to-head against Cathy's in the junior group division, Abby makes it clear she wants her team to be victorious.

“I will be sick to my stomach if my junior elite team lets this imbecile beat us. They will never hear the end of it from me,” Abby tells the cameras.

Fortunately for Abby, it appears her girls were able to pull out a big win at the Jan. 10 competition. According to one “Dance Moms” spoiler site, the ALDC’s group dance “Get a Clue” – a number inspired by the classic board game – placed first in the junior small group division and first overall. The Candy Apples reportedly placed second in the division and third overall with a routine titled “Ethereal.”

Episode 12 of "Dance Moms" Season 5 airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime. Check out the two promo videos for the upcoming installment below:
