Brady and Victor on "Days Of Our Lives"
Brady (Eric Martsolf) interrogates Victor (John Aniston) about Deimos’ (Vincent Irizarry, not pictured) murder on the Aug. 7, 2017 episode of “Days of Our Lives.” NBC

Sonny is still sitting in prison as the main suspect in Deimos’ murder, but as startling new information comes to light, the person who was truly behind the crime may find themselves finally confessing to what they did on the Monday, Aug. 7 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After having a memory of the night that Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) was murdered that put him at the scene of the crime, Sonny (Freddie Smith) confessed to the police on the NBC soap. His confession was later backed up by an eyewitness account from a caterer at the Marton House party, who claimed to have seen Sonny standing over Deimos’ dead body as well. Since then, he has been locked away in a jail cell, and his loved ones have been working to try and find a way to prove his innocence.

Paul (Christopher Sean) and John (Drake Hogestyn), after receiving a lead that indicated Xander (Paul Tefler) had committed the crime, flew to Greece to question him, only to get a cryptic response that they should look towards Victor (John Aniston) for answers. Now, they have also informed Brady (Eric Martsolf) of what they’ve learned, and the investigation has continued.

Brady then went to question a pilot who works for the family to see if there was any way to find more information there, and when he did, he learned the shocking truth—that Victor has found a way to get the imprisoned Xander out of jail long enough to fly him into Salem and back.

Now, Brady will have no choice but to question his grandfather about what happened, and the possibility that he may have orchestrated his own brother’s murder. Though Victor may initially deny it, he will eventually confess that he flew Xander in, and may admit that his job was to murder Deimos before he went back to the Greek prison he has been in ever since he was arrested for Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) kidnapping.

The news will be a shock to Brady, because not only is it clear that Victor’s plan got out of control in a way he never expected, since his own nephew seems to be paying for the crime, but because Victor brought Xander back to Salem after everything he had done to both him and Nicole during the kidnapping plot. Thanks to Xander, Brady had been shot and had actually died in the hospital before being handed a miracle which brought him back to life. He may be outraged that Victor risked unleashing Xander on the people of Salem once more, when he barely escaped death, but he will also be shocked that Victor hasn’t done anything yet to get Sonny out of jail.

However, Victor may admit that he doesn’t know how to help Sonny, and he never intended for him to take the fall. And while that won’t earn him any sympathy from Brady for making a potentially more dangerous move to take Deimos down for good, it could be enough for him to willingly try and come up with a solution for himself.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
