She was flabbergasted when she learned the battery in Julie’s pacemaker could be changed, which would affect her ability to control the device through an app on her phone and assure that Lani can never reunite with Eli. Now, with her wedding to Eli just one day away, Gabi will work overtime to try and make sure she still has all the power on the Thursday, Feb. 13 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

A year ago, Gabi (Camila Banus) got revenge on Lani (Sal Stowers) for shooting and killing Stefan (Brandon Barash) by allowing for his heart to be donated to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). However, when Julie also needed a pacemaker on the NBC soap, she was able to truly score revenge by making sure the device, which came from a DiMera owned company, was something she could control. She then forced Lani to call off her wedding to Eli (Lamon Archey), or she threatened to blow Julie’s heart up and kill her. Since then, Gabi has become engaged to Eli herself, and Lani has not been able to do anything to stop her because she still has control of the device.

However, with the news now that the battery needs to be changed, which means Gabi may no longer be able to fully access is from her app, she needs to work fast if she wants to assure that she still has the control she desires, as well as the ability to keep the truth from her future husband about what she could do to his grandmother.

“Gabi plots to maintain control over Julie’s heart,” spoilers reveal.

Considering photo spoilers for the episode show Gabi meeting with someone (Chaz Kao) about the device, she may be able to successfully still do what she wishes, which is great news for her, but bad news for Lani, who came back to Salem with the hope of exposing the truth and winning Eli back.

Now, with the wedding fast arriving and no potential ability to prove what Gabi did insight, Lani will start to feel desperate for anything to help her case.

“Lani fears nothing will stop Eli from marrying Gabi,” spoilers state.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
