Everyone was stunned when he suddenly arrived back in Salem on New Years and that he has seemingly no feelings towards Kayla any longer. Now, desperate for answers, Jack will confront Steve about his wild change in behavior on the Thursday, Jan. 9 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Everyone was shocked when “Steve” (Stephen Nicholls) showed up unexpectedly at the New Year’s Eve party on the NBC soap. Since then though, his behavior has been perplexing—especially when it comes to his ex-wife, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Not only did he seem fine with the fact that she has moved on since their divorce with his late sister’s husband, but he also only explained his rash decision for divorce by stating that he loved someone else who he thought was better than her.

Now, desperate to find out what’s going on with his brother, Jack (Matthew Ashford) will seek out answers by going to the source.

“Jack rips into ‘Steve’ and is perplexed by his brother’s behavior,” spoilers reveal.

Steve’s actions and words will once again be troubling since they will seem so out of character for him, but it’s unlikely that Jack, or anyone else for that matter, will figure out the reason why yet. As it turns out, while he physically looks like Steve, the man who everyone is interacting with is actually Stefano in disguise. He was the one who filed the divorce papers with Kayla, so he could freely come back to town and achieve his ultimate goal of getting the woman he does love—Marlena (Deidre Hall).

However, while his confrontation with his brother will be something that raises more alarms, “Steve” will continue with his quests—which will likely include unveiling himself to his other recently returned child in town—Kristen (Stacy Haiduk).

“Kristen is thrown when someone unexpected shows up on her doorstep,” spoilers state.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
