An infant was found dead inside a restroom at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines, over the weekend.

The lifeless body of the baby girl was found in Comfort Room No. 302 in Terminal 3 of the airport at 7 a.m. local time, Sunday (7 p.m. Saturday, EST). The infant was found with underwear wrapped around her neck.

The girl was described as "a full-term baby girl" by the Manila International Airport Authorities. A medical team provided her with basic life support despite the baby showing no signs of life. However, they failed to revive her. The age of the infant was not known.

Meanwhile, the Manila International Airport Authority’s General Manager, Ed Monreal had ordered a review of all the security camera footage around the restroom and Terminal 3. The Incident was being investigated by Manila’s Police department.

In a similar incident, an American woman was held for attempting to smuggle a six-day-old newborn baby at the same airport in September. The 43-year-old woman, identified as Jennifer Erin Talbot, was arrested after the airport staff found the newborn inside her suitcase during the security screening. She had allegedly told authorities that the baby was her nephew but failed to provide the necessary documents to support that claim. Although she had presented her passport, she failed to present any travel clearance for the child. Following the incident, the Social Welfare Department had taken custody of the baby.
