Destiny 2 Revision Zero
Revision Zero comes with a selectable fire mode and multiple catalysts Destiny 2

KEY POINTS

  • The catalyst is tied to the events of the main seasonal questline
  • Players need to finish "Operation: Seraph Shield" on Legend difficulty
  • More catalysts will be unlocked over Season 19's runtime

The Revision Zero Pulse Rifle's first catalyst is now available in "Destiny 2," and much like the exotic quest needed to get the gun, unlocking the catalyst involves a fairly simple and straightforward process.

Naturally, players need to get this Pulse Rifle first before they can attempt to unlock its catalyst. Additionally, the catalyst quest requires progress in this season's storyline, so those who haven't caught up with current events yet should do so as soon as possible.

Where to get the Revision Zero Catalyst

After finishing the seasonal story quest, players will be given the Revision Zero catalyst quest called "Should You Choose to Accept It" after speaking with the Exo Frame at the Helm.

The story quest itself is as simple as the ones that came before, though players who have been closely following the game's lore will find a lot to be excited about with this week's story beats.

Claim the quest and follow these next steps:

1. Download the Cryptographic Index at the Archimedes Annex

The first step of the catalyst quest will take players back to the Archimedes Annex, one of the Seraph bunkers that were visited in a previous seasonal story mission. Access this location by opening up the Map screen at the HELM and interacting with the "Operation: Archimedes" node.

The mission itself plays much like the way it did before. Dodge Seraph towers, kill Hive, charge doors, and square off against a boss by the end. Once everything is gone, turn the power back on, interact with the terminal and download the Cryptographic Index to finish the step.

2. Finish patrols and defeat combatants on Europa

This next step is self-explanatory. Just go anywhere on Europa and keep doing Patrols until the requirement is satisfied. Doing kill and survey patrols is the most efficient way to finish this. Avoid taking the supply collection patrols as they are the most time-consuming.

3. Locate and collect the Dead Drop

After meeting the conditions above, head to the Perdition Lost Sector on Europa's Cadmus Ridge region. Its location is marked by a Lost Sector symbol on the map.

Go through the area normally and defeat the boss at the end. A terminal with the Hakke symbol should be visible near the exit door. Interact with this to progress to the next step.

4. Find the dead Exo aboard the Seraph Station

This is where things get a little more difficult. After collecting the dead drop, start "Operation: Seraph Shield" on Legend difficulty and find a dead Exo on the space station.

The Exo can be found lying by the exit of the furnace trap room. Navigate through it normally and shut down all three of the terminals in order to interact with the corpse.

5. Complete "Operation: Seraph Shield" on Legend difficulty

The quest will remain mostly the same as the first time. It's a linear experience with the Scanner, Operator and Suppressor buffs, as well as waves of Hive and Fallen that serve as basic fodder for combat scenarios.

Soloing "Operation: Seraph Shield" on Legend can be somewhat tricky. Enemies here will be 10 Light stronger players, which generally means they'll be harder to take down. This is especially worrisome in the first boss arena where large groups of enemies spawn alongside Fallen Brigs and Sniper Shanks.

Thankfully, Champions won't be a problem here. Players are free to bring any loadout they want, though a class setup that can clear waves without dying will probably be the most useful.

The Sniper and Arc Damage Resistance mods for chest armor are very helpful in this mission since the majority of damage that players will take will come from snipers and Fallen weaponry. Meanwhile, Witherhoard or any Grenade Launcher paired with the Weakened Clear buff can help against tough targets like Brigs and bosses.

Loot the final chest to finish the mission. After this, players will be able to reshape the Revision Zero at the Enclave. Quest completion will unlock Hunter's Trace II, which will give the gun a small stat boost across the board and unlock its selection of barrel perks. The quest will also unlock the Frenzy Refit, which will give the gun the Feeding Frenzy perk.
