KEY POINTS

  • Kim Kardashian appeared to be using Google-suggested Instagram captions on her photos
  • Fan accounts poked fun at Kardashian for snagging her Instagram caption from Google
  • Kardashian posted a blurry selfie with the caption, "When life gets blurry... adjust your focus"

Social media users called out Kim Kardashian for seemingly snagging her Instagram caption from Google.

The 42-year-old Skims founder took to Instagram to share a gallery of photos of her donning a body-hugging silver dress, including a blurry snap of the business mogul smiling and two mirror selfies.

"When life gets blurry ... adjust your focus," Kardashian captioned the photos she posted on Sunday.

Interestingly, fan accounts were quick to point out that the business mogul could have searched "captions for blurry pictures" on Google before posting the snaps, according to Life and Style.

Barstool Sports' podcast "Chicks in the Office" Instagram account, managed by hosts Francesca Mariano and Ria Ciuffo, re-posted a now-viral photo showing a side-by-side comparison of Kardashian's post and a screenshot of the Google search engine showing suggestions of possible captions. It revealed that the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" alum's caption came up as the second suggestion.

"Kim is better than Googling her captions," the podcast wrote in the caption, making fun of Kardashian's situation.

"Wish she would've gone with 'My life, My Rules, And My Blurry Pic,'" YouTuber Kelsey Kreppel quipped in the comments section.

"It's like no one wants to come up with their own captions anymore," one user wrote.

Some fans came to Kardashian's defense, claiming that the reality star was "just like" any other social media user out there.

"Celebrities... They're just like us!" one fan commented, while another said, "Kim is just like us!"

"Nonsense. Bad energies. [So] what if she decides to google her captions? She's too busy to create a caption so she googled it [to save] her self-energy and time," another fan wrote.

A few also suggested that Kardashian should "let" her 9-year-old daughter North West, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West, write her captions instead.

It wasn't the first time the reality star got roasted because of her Instagram captions. In February 2021, Kardashian posted a picture of her and her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, on the platform, with a caption that originally read, "Somehow in this crazy life, we found each other," according to Insider.

She ended up changing the caption to "Kourtney lost her earring in the ocean, so I helped her find it, referencing a similar moment in Season 6 of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" when Kim broke down after losing a diamond earring in the ocean.

At the time, several social media users criticized her bizarre caption, claiming it didn't make sense because they were siblings.

"[You are] literally sisters," one user wrote. Another commented, "But y'all are sisters so you didn't really have to search."

It seemed the reality star was unbothered by the criticisms since the "blurry photo" and caption remained on her Instagram account.
