Disney Plus just announced the new release date of “Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.”

Disney Plus initially scheduled the “Secret Society of Second-Born Royals” for online streaming on July 17. Unfortunately, the release date was moved to Sept. 25. Disney Plus revealed the new release date through their official Twitter account on Wednesday (June 17).

“On Sept. 25, start streaming a new kind of royal adventure,” Disney Plus tweeted. “Secret Society of Second-Born Royals, an Original Movie, only on #DisneyPlus. #SSBR.”

Several netizens, seemingly confused, reacted to Disney Plus’ announcement.

The reason for the delayed release of the “Secret Society of Second-Born Royals” is yet to be confirmed. Needless to say, a lot of movies slated for release this year have been moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disney Plus had planned to release theAvengers: Infinity War ” on June 25, but it was reportedly moved on June 26.

On Aug. 7, “Ant-Man and The Wasp” was supposed to be released for streaming in Disney plus; however, it was moved to Aug. 14.

Meanwhile, “Solo: A Star Wars Story” was pushed back to a July 10 release date, Inside The Magic reported.

“Where the fairytale ends, is where our story begins,” the protagonist said.

Disney Plus’ upcoming movie would be showing the story of a princess named Sam and her involvement with “Secret Society of Second-Born Royals,” Video Tape News reported. Her main role as a second-born of the royal family was to protect their kingdom.

The movie’s latest trailer also revealed that the protagonist has special powers. The clip also revealed how these second-born royalties obtained their extraordinary abilities.

It was said that each of their ability was unique to the individual and they had to go through a series of training to hone their skills and abilities.

Sam will be played by Peyton Elizabeth, while Catherine will be portrayed by Elodie Yung. Ashley Liao was set to take on the character of Eleanor and Niles Fitch was chosen for the role of Tuma.

Skylar Astin, who is known for his appearance in the movie “Pitch Perfect,” will be taking the role of Professor James Morrow.

Anna Mastro of “Walter” directed the film. The highly anticipated Disney Plus movie was written by Alex Livak and Andrew Green.
