As President Donald Trump heads towards the 2020 election, a new report has indicated that he may be asked for an unexpected favor from a popular Netflix star.

According to TMZ, "Tiger King" star Joe Exotic's legal team is going to ask Trump for a pardon on his behalf. Currently, he is serving "a 22-year sentence on multiple charges that stem from accusations of animal abuse and from his alleged involvement in a murder-for-hire plot to kill big-cat activist Carole Baskin," according to NY Daily News.

This is not the first time that the Netflix personality (whose legal name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage) has attempted to interact with Trump in some capacity. In 2016, Exotic reportedly attended one of the former "Apprentice" star's campaign events and paid $1,000 to attend a meet and greet.

However, all did not go as planned. At that time, the former zoo operator stepped outside to smoke a cigarette but was allegedly prohibited by the Secret Service when he tried to go back inside. According to Exotic's account, he had been under the impression that anyone who left could go back into the event, but encountered a different scenario when he attempted to reenter the building.

As for why he was denied the chance to go back in and continue speaking to Trump, the "Tiger King" star said he believed it was due to the fact that when he showed his ID a concealed-carry permit could be seen. However, others have countered that narrative, saying that he was acting "starstruck" and surprised the agents due to his behavior.
