The Dow industrials rose more than 1 percent in mid-day trading on Thursday, led by financial and technology stocks.

All three indexes have gained more than 1 percent this session. The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> jumped 109.43 points, or 1.01 percent, at 10,945.58. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 11.74 points, or 1.01 percent, at 1,179.46. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> advanced 30.23 points, or 1.26 percent, at 2,428.99.
