'Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai' Episode 85 Spoilers, Preview, Release Date

The Twin Dragon Crests launch the Doruora attack to destroy the Dark Force Reactor in "Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai" Episode 85. The new episode is titled "Vearn, the Dark King."

Dai and Leona have managed to reach the top of the Tower of Supremacy, according to the official preview trailer of Episode 85. At the top of the tower, Dark King Vearn awaits and he is brimming with lethal intent to take down his enemies.

Meanwhile, the fear inside Dai resurfaces as he gets ready to rematch against Vearn.

In the previous episode, Leona was captured by a mysterious being and Dai was ready to fight it.

However, Goroa, the Drumbler, stopped him. He told Dai that he looks after the heart of Vearn Palace. Dai asked if he was responsible for causing the Vearn Palace to fly.

He further asked Goroa about the monster and why he took Leona.

Goroa revealed it was not a monster but a Dark Force Reactor, which was half machine and half living organism. Turned out, that the reactor was the heart that was driving the Vearn Palace.

"Leona is captured. Dai chases after her and arrives at a ‘living engine’, the Dark Force Reactor. Dai attempts to rescue Leona, but is stopped. What will happen to her...?" read the official synopsis of "Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai" Episode 84, as per Crunchyroll.

The cast of the anime includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Dai, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Killvearn, Kiyono Yasuno as Marin, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Matliff, Yuuki Kaji as Hyunckel, Yui Ishikawa as Amy, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Popp, Tomokazu Seki as Hadlar, Tomoaki Maeno as Crocodine, Takaya Hashi as Vearn, Takehito Koyasu as Mystvearn, Takahiro Sakurai as Avan, Saori Hayami as Leona, Mikako Komatsu as Maam, Ai Furihata as Gome, Hiroki Touchi as Lon Beruk, Akira Ishida as Larhalt, Konomi Kohara as Merle, Mitsuo Iwata as Zaboera, Tesshō Genda as Maximum and Takahiro Sakurai as Avan.

The anime is based on the original story by Koji Inada and Riku Sanjo.

"Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai" Episode 85 will air this Saturday. The episode will be available on Crunchyroll and Hulu. The new installments will stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
