Ever since NBC’s “Emerald City” began, Lucas’ (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) identity has been shrouded in secrecy.

Last week, Dorothy (Adria Arjona) and West (Ana Ularu) discovered that he was on a mission to transport a cart full of witches, including Silvie (Rebeka Rea), to Glinda (Joely Richardson). But the Wizard’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) guards prevented him from completing his task.

Now, Dorothy, Lucas and Silvie will head North to seek Glinda’s assistance in Season 1, episode 7. However, the journey to Glinda’s residence will not be an easy one since the Wizard of Oz has launched a massive witch hunt.

In episode 6, Silvie accidentally turned the King of Ev (David Calder) into stone. She was frightened when he approached her and Toto. This made Lady Ev (Stefanie Martini) upset and she threatened to destroy Emerald City. Fortunately, the Wizard was able to persuade her to make weapons that can kill witches.

Speaking of the Wizard, he learned that the women in the High Council, who have been trained by Glinda, are actually her spies. Glinda hid the witch of the South and made witches that were to be then used in a war against the Wizard. The Wizard killed Anna (Isabel Lucas) because he thought she betrayed him but she never knew about Glinda’s plan.

The Wizard will launch an assault on a village since his power is now threatened. He seeks West’s help in episode 7, titled “They Came First.”

Now that the King of Ev is dead, Lady Ev will grapple with her new set of responsibilities which include running her kingdom. As a result of her father’s death and new found power, her tenuous relationship with Jack (Gerran Howell) will become even more complicated than before.

Perhaps the most shocking spoiler of the upcoming episode is revealed in the promo. When Dorothy, Silvie and Lucas meet Glinda, he kisses her. Are they lovers? If they are, will he cast aside Dorothy?

“Emerald City” Season 1, episode 7 premieres Friday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
