Emilia Clarke showcased herself to the world with her breakout role in the blockbuster HBO drama series “Game Of Thrones.” The show helped the star reach greater heights and took her fan following to a whole new level. But now, the actress is spilling out some specific details about that one thing she was pressured to do in the initial episodes.

According to E! News, the 33-year-old actress, who portrayed the character of Daenerys Targaryen on the hit TV series, had a lot of “fights” over her nudity while on the set because she wanted to keep a sheet over herself during some scenes, but she was told that the decision of wrapping herself with a sheet would “upset her fans.”

Speaking in Dax Shepard's podcast, Clarke explained that she used to have a plethora of arguments with the makers of the show before such scenes because she was being pressurized to do something that she was not comfortable doing. She used to tell the directors that she needs to wrap herself in a sheet since she doesn’t want to show some features of her body.

But the directors were not willing to accept the request and told her that her fans would be really “disappointed” if she wrapped herself.

“I’ve had fights on the set before where I am like, ‘No! The sheet stays up’ and they are like, ‘You don’t want to disappoint your ‘Game Of Thrones’ fans and I am like, ‘F—k you,’” Clarke said.

Clarke later admitted that the nudity shown in the show’s early episodes was necessary because that helped fans empathize with her character.

The “Terminator: Genisys” actress noted that those nude scenes were necessary because it showed how her character is being victimized by her brother Viserys Targaryen. She also explained that if people would not have seen Daenerys getting abused, they would not have cared for her at all.

The star praised her on-screen husband Jason Momoa for doing his best to make her comfortable while doing such explicit scenes. “He took care of me too. In an environment where I did not know I needed to be taken care of,” Clarke said.

In related news, Clarke’s latest project, “Last Christmas,” has opened to negative reviews from critics. The movie, which also stars “Crazy Rich Asians” actor Henry Golding, Emma Thompson and Michelle Yeoh, currently has a 47 percent score on review site Rotten Tomatoes.
