Eminem most ‘liked’ person on Facebook.

Lady Gaga's eight month reign as the living person with the most likes on Facebook is a thing of the past. Rapper Eminem has surpassed the pop star, according to MTV.com.

According to Famecount, Slim Shady has approximately 8,000 more fans than Gaga right now. Earlier this week, he trailed Lady Gaga by roughly 1,000 fans. As Dr. Dre released his new video for I Need a Doctor, which features Eminem, earlier this week, Eminem's popularity on the social networking site grew.

The position for the most liked person on Facebook usually alternates among Eminem, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. According to Famecount, the rapper is adding about half a million fans on Facebook per week. Even so, Rihanna's popularity is constantly increasing and therefore may soon eclipse Eminem. Famecount calls her the one to watch.

According to Famecount, Eminem is still trailing in third place behind Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber respectively in terms of followers on Twitter and YouTube.

Eminem's latest album Recovery was released in 2010 and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. It was the second best-selling album of 2010.
