How will Father Marcus (Ben Daniels) and Father Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) handle the case of a young girl being possessed by the devil in “The Exorcist” Season 2, episode 3? Fox

“The Exorcist” Season 2, episode 3 will see Father Marcus (Ben Daniels) and Father Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) heading to Seattle to handle a new possession case.

In “Unclean,” the two characters will meet a young girl who is being targeted by a force of pure evil. In the teaser released by Fox for Friday night’s episode, Father Tomas is seen holding the young girl’s arms when a force of evil suddenly strikes and destroys the windows at her home. Father Tomas and Father Marcus both have a worried look on their faces, seemingly unsure if they could defeat the enemy.

Elsewhere in the episode, Andy (John Cho) is also dealing with some events at his foster home. His foster daughter, Grace (Amelie Eve), is suffering from agoraphobia, a type of anxiety order wherein a person fears certain places or situations that may cause feelings of panic.

In the 20-second clip, Andy shows Grace something that terrifies her. She starts to panic, and Andy carries her back into the foster home. When they get inside, Andy and Grace start sensing that someone is in the house. In the next scene, Andy buries something in the ground as his means of making Grace forget what they just saw.

Additionally, “The Exorcist” Season 2, episode 3 will also introduce a character named Mouse (Zuleikha Robinson). She is a rouge church operative who is waging a one-woman crusade against the demonic conspiracy. Father Bennett (Kurt Egyiawan) will track her down, and the two will share multiple heated scenes in the upcoming installment.

Meanwhile, “The Exorcist” executive producer Jeremy Slater talked about the overarching theme for Season 2 and said that it will have direct references to “The Exorcist III.”

“We’ve got a little bit of crossover this season. We kind of hit ‘Tubular Bells’ from the film series and the head spin and the projectile vomit last year. We knew that there were certain things that the fans were gonna demand and expect to see. And it’s important to me to get some stuff from ‘Exorcist III’ in there this season at some point because I think it’s a massively underrated sequel,” he told Digital Spy.

“The Exorcist” Season 2 airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
