Fans are not reacting well to news that country singer Jason Aldean has left his wife for former “American Idol” contestant Brittany Kerr. In 2012, Aldean jeopardized his marriage with Jessica Ussery when he had an affair with Kerr.

Then last April, Aldean filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage. Us Weekly reported this week that he has been dating Kerr, a Charlotte Bobcats cheerleader, ever since.

Fans on Facebook shunned the singer, with Heather Wojtasik writing on Monday, “So your apology was just a bunch of bulls--t. Had to wait til the flames fanned over so you could make it public that you’re still with the woman you cheated on your ex-wife with. It's sad for her but she is better off than to be with a liar and a cheat.

Photos surfaced of Aldean and Kerr two getting up-close and personal at a bar in 2012 presumably after one of Aldean’s shows. Aldean quickly apologized.

"Hey Guys—I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites," Aldean wrote on his Facebook page.

"The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support."

But it is clear that the cheating scandal did not just happen because of too much alcohol. Dee Linsdey wrote on Facebook Monday, “Just read that you're still with the h-- u cheated on your wife with [sic]. So much for end of story in regards to the speech after you got busted with her. Once a cheater always a cheater applies to both of you!!! No more of my money will fall into your pockets.”
