  • "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 6's midseason finale has left fans wanting more
  • The "Walking Dead" spinoff will be taking a long hiatus
  • The speculated airdate of its midseason premiere is after April 4, 2021

"Fear the Walking Dead" Season 6 midseason finale aired last Sunday, featuring a bloodcurdling premise and leaving fans with lots of unanswered questions. Unfortunately, there will be no new episode airing next week or this year. Instead, fans will have to wait longer than they expected to watch Episode 8 and find out Virginia's (Colby Minifie) new plan and see Strand humor her demand of bringing everybody back from Humbug's Gulch.

Fans would agree that "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 6 is by far the best installment of the series. The midseason finale, titled "Damage from the Inside," featured a spine-chilling storyline whereby Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Dakota (Zoe Colletti) were seen trapped in an old hunting lodge with Ed, a dangerous taxidermist. The lodge was surrounded by walkers and Ed would not let them leave. As he ended up getting killed accidentally, Dakota and Alicia managed to escape the chaos with the help of Morgan (Lennie James).

While Dakota chose to go with Morgan, Strand (Colman Domingo) decided to stay with Virginia and Pioneers. He declared his allegiance to Virginia only to witness the "big show" later. Virginia led Strand to a secret gate and unveiled her captive, who happened to be a pregnant Grace (Karen David). In that confusing moment, Virginia made an unanticipated demand of Victor: She asked him to bring back everybody they had taken from Humbug's Gulch.

For now, "Fear the Walking Dead" has wrapped up the first half of the sixth season. Taking over its timeslot, "The Walking Dead: World Beyond" will air the two-part finale next week. Then, "Fear the Walking Dead" will officially enter its winter break.

According to ComicBook, "Fear the Walking Dead" will not return with new episodes until 2021. Fans can anticipate a long hiatus as the show is not expected to return until the spring of next year. Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" Season 10 will air its remaining six episodes starting Feb. 28, 2021. This will put a pause at the remaining half-season that has already suffered a delay in production due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Fear the Walking Dead" Season 6, Episode 8 will go on air after "The Walking Dead" extended Season 10's final episode "Here's Negan" concludes. This time, fans are assured, the show will remain on-air for an "uninterrupted nine-week stretch." The speculated airdate of the midseason premiere is sometime after April 4, 2021.
