After leaving Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello promised fans that she would share new music with them in 2017 and it looks like the singer has every intention of keeping her word.

On Wednesday, the singer teased fans about new music ahead of the rumored release date for her first single. The “Love Incredible” artist shared a GIF on Twitter of “Saturday Night Live” alum Bill Hader’s “Weekend Update” character Stefon.

Cabello used the GIF of Hader’s character excitedly waving hello to greet her fans. Upon realizing that the “Bad Things” singer tweeted, one fan asked if she was going to disappear from social media again.

“Are you gonna tweet this and then go offline as usual?” The fan asked the 20-year-old starlet.

“I’ve been hiding like a hermit crab the past few months but in a little u guys r gonna be like,” Cabello replied. Along with her tweet, Cabello included GIF of “Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles looking emotionally overwhelmed with the words “This is too much” written across the moving image.

Cabello’s latest tweet hinting at new music comes just two days before her rumored solo debut. On April 19, a staff writer for Us Weekly, Nick Hautman, tweeted that the singer will release solo music in the beginning of May. “Camila Cabello’s debut solo single is out May 5,” he tweeted.

Although his tweet was neither confirmed or denied by the artist, it is not far-fetched to believe that Cabello will be releasing fresh music in the near future. During a recent interview with Fault magazine, the singer hinted at potential release dates for her music.

“I hope to release my first few songs before summer and then go from there and hopefully an album in the fall,” she told the publication.

On April 22, Cabello’s manager Roger Gold also got fans’ hopes up when he tweeted, “CC1.” Gold further excited fans in the beginning of May by hinting that it would be a big month for the singer. “Happy May 1st everyone or as I like to think of it, happy Camila month,” he wrote.

When Cabello finally releases new music fans can expect to get a better understanding of who she is. “They are going to feel who I am. They are going to get a chunk of my heart, my experiences, my fantasies and everything in between,” she told Fault.

Although she expressed that she was afraid to walk away from the successful music group Fifth Harmony, Cabello was confident about her decision to go solo.

“I think the scariest part about it is leaving a successful project to pursue a new dream with a path full of questions of self-discovery that only you can answer. But even when I feel so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of my former group, expressing myself as an artist became a necessity,” the singer told the publication.

There’s only a matter of time before Cabello releases new music but for now, fans will just have to be patient as she continues on her solo journey.
