Jamie Dornan has starred in “Fifty Shades of Grey” and is set to reprise his role in “Fifty Shades Darker.” But even if he has already played Christian Grey twice, Dornan recently admitted that he still finds some of the character’s sex scenes weird.

While speaking with Cosmopolitan US (via Belfast Live), the 34-year-old actor said that he finds it funny that Christian and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) would try to have sex in the shower while they are fully clothed. This is something that Dornan won’t do in real life. “Doing a sex scene is always strange, but especially if you start it clothed in the shower,” he said.

His co-star, Dakota Johnson, seems to agree with him. She previously told Interview magazine that filming their sex scenes is tedious. Even though they are not having actual sex, they have to simulate the deed for several hours.

Dornan also pointed out several differences between him and his character, as well as differences between “Fifty Shades of Grey” and “Fifty Shades Darker.” According to the actor, he will never have a red room built in the home that he shares with wife, Amelia Warner. “Christian’s more open – more willing to compromise for the woman he loves. He’s still stubborn, but Ana can make him a better person,” he said.

Toward the end of his interview, Dornan was asked to share advice he would give his character if he were real. Not surprisingly, the actor wants the character to relax and loosen up more. “He’s obviously been through some horrific things in his youth that have colored who he is today, but I think he needs to let his hair down a little bit,” he said.

“Fifty Shades Darker” is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10.
