Danielle Panabaker and Susan Walters are excited for next week’s episode of “The Flash.”

Panabaker, who plays Caitlin / Killer Frost on the CW series, took to Twitter earlier today to share her excitement for Season 3, episode 5, entitled “Monster.”

“Finally! So excited!” the 29-year-old actress tweeted in reply to a post shared by Entertainment Weekly on the social media site.

Walters, who is set to make her series debut as Caitlin’s mom in the episode, also replied to Entertainment Weekly’s tweet. “I can’t wait to see it!!!” she wrote.

According to the synopsis for the episode, Caitlin pays her mom, Dr. Carla Tannhauser, a visit in hopes that the renowned biomedical researcher can help her understand her developing metahuman powers better. The reunion between the mom and daughter, however, becomes a mess when Dr. Tannhauser starts treating Caitlin like a test subject. Caitlin grows cold toward her mom and eventually brings up past misunderstandings between them.

Caitlin’s mom was first mentioned in Season 2, episode 19, entitled “Back to Normal,” where Caitlin met her Earth-2 doppelganger Killer Frost for the first time. During their little chat in Zoom’s (Teddy Sears) lair, Caitlin found out that Killer Frost also has a not so good relationship with her own mom.

Caitlin and her mom have long had a difficult relationship. In fact, Entertainment Weekly reported last August that Caitlin thinks that her mom is unwelcoming and withholding, while Dr. Tannhauser finds her daughter as rebellious and shows no gratitude.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly earlier this month, Todd Helbing said that fans will soon find out what exactly started the rift between the two. “You’ve heard snippets throughout the show so far of how her mom is pretty cold,” Helbing said. “When you meet her, you’ll understand exactly what Caitlin has been talking about and exactly how their dynamic works. You can see how that’s had a long-term effect on Caitlin.”

“The Flash” Season 3, episode 5 airs on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
