A 41-year-old Florida woman was charged with sexual battery Thursday for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy and giving birth to his twins.

According to the arrest affidavit, the incident came to light in April when the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office received an email from a friend of the victim’s family alleging that Spring Turner had been abusing the teem since he was 15 and that she had gotten pregnant by him when he was 17 years old. During investigation, the boy said the accused assaulted him when he was high on marijuana.

The teen said Turner sexually assaulted him at least 20 times in two years and the last abuse took place in 2018. He added that it was during the last encounter that the twins were conceived.

Following this, police detained Turner for questioning during which she claimed she did not know who the father of the babies was. She added that she could not remember having sex with the teen because she was drunk. A DNA test was conducted which confirmed that teen was the father of the twins.

Turner was charged with sexual battery and engaging in sexual conduct with a minor 12 to 18 years old and remained behind bars at Volusia County Branch Jail as of Monday with her bail set at $25,000.
