Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Summer isn’t over just yet. Jocelyn Hudon, Ryan Paevey and Kelly Kruger star in the brand new movie, “From Friend to Fiancé,” airing Saturday night.

The “General Hospital” alum has been in a slew of Hallmark movies in the last few years, including “Harvest Love” and the “Mr. Darcy” franchise. As for Hudon, she’s had a couple of supporting roles in Hallmark movies, but this will be her first time leading one.

She’s also ramping things up on the TV side of Hallmark, as she guest-starred on “When Calls the Heart” as Grace and is about to reprise the role as a main character on the spinoff series, “When Hope Calls.” Meanwhile, “The Young and the Restless” actress Kruger will be making her Hallmark debut with “From Friend to Fiancé.”

“Jess (Hudon) and Ted (Paevey) have been best friends since they were kids,” the synopsis shares of the movie. “When Ted gets engaged to the ‘high school mean girl’” Kimberly (Kruger) and asks Jess to plan their wedding, things get complicated. Although Jess tries her best to create a beautiful event, her true feelings for Ted keep getting in the way.”

The Hallmark film, which was directed by Andrew Cymek and written by Patrick McBrearty, also features Derek McGrath (Patrick), Brigitte Kingsley (Melinda) and Krista Jang (Blair) in its cast.

Catch “From Friend to Fiancé” when it premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday at 9 p.m. EDT.
