“Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington is used to being in front of the camera. He spends plenty of time portraying Jon Snow on the HBO hit, but when he isn’t in character, he’d prefer people not to immediately reach for their cameras.

The actor explained to Vulture that he thinks it is rude when people take his picture without asking. “It's one thing to ask someone for a photo, and give them the chance to say yes or no, and hopefully they say yes,” Harington said. “But to take photos of me, without permission, it is an invasion of privacy. I do call people out on that. Most of the time, it's just people maybe getting overly excited that they've seen someone they recognize, and it's completely innocent.”

Harington went on to say that he hopes people eventually develop “new etiquette rules” to deal with technology. “I don't believe people need to be shamed about these things,” the actor clarified. “They just need to stop and take stock of what they're photographing. Is it an actor, a musician, or just someone on the street who's acting oddly? There's a feeling that you should know, that you should be empathetic to how it feels to other people to be watched or photographed. If you wouldn't like it yourself, then don't do it to other people. Be more polite, generally. Because I can tell you, it's very uncomfortable being photographed all the time without your permission. So I would ask people not to do that ... to anyone.”

The “MI-5” star has been photographed without permission by many “Game of Thrones” fans. They were particularly interested in snapping pictures of the 28-year-old when he arrived in known "Thrones" filming locations and [SPOILER ALERT] when he was seen on set in costume. After Jon Snow was stabbed in the Season 5 finale, it seemed he was dead. However, sneaky photographers revealed that he’ll somehow appear in Season 6.

It isn’t just photos or spoilers that Harington wants to keep off the internet. The actor, who doesn't have any social media accounts, is incredibly private. “I'll never talk about any particular relationship I've been in,” he told GQ earlier this year. It seems fans shouldn’t expect the actor to open up about his personal life any time soon.
