• The next update in "Genshin Impact" is scheduled to arrive on Feb. 3
  • Xiao will be the first character banner to feature as part of Update 1.3
  • An insider has revealed some features of the update

Chinese gaming studio miHoYo earlier revealed some details about the incoming update of "Genshin Impact" but it did not say anything about some of the much-awaited characters in the game. Now, a reliable industry insider has leaked the release date of one of the Inazuma characters, Hu Tao.

On Tuesday, "Genshin Impact" insider NEP NEP tweeted that Hu Tao will arrive only toward the end of Update 1.3's lifecycle, while Keqing will release on Feb. 17. The insider claimed the delay in the arrival of the five-star character was because of some production problems due to the Chinese New Year and other issues. Hu Tao will be the third banner to be launched in Update 1.3, the insider added.

"Genshin Impact" character banners last for three weeks before miHoYo introduces a brand-new five-star character. Interestingly, Xiao's Invitation to Mundane Life character banner will only last for two weeks. The insider speculated that Keqing's banner will follow the same timeline, lasting only for two weeks instead of three.

NEP NEP said the sudden launch of Keqing's banner could be some sort of a prank from miHoYo, which could relate to Hu Tao's nature as a trickster. Fans are very excited to get their hands on Hu Tao. Rumors about the arrival of the owner of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor in Liyue in "Genshin Impact" intensified after several data miners uncovered her in the game's files.

Earlier, a closed beta tester player was penalized by miHoYo after they leaked footage showing Hu Tao's skills and abilities. Hu Tao is a five-star Pyro Vision character wielding a Polearm. Based on recent leaks, her appearance has changed a little bit but her overall design appears the same. Her Elemental Skill is called Guide to the Afterlife, while her Elemental Burst is reportedly called Spirit Soother.

Xiao is the first character banner confirmed to launch in "Genshin Impact" update 1.3. After that, miHoyo will launch Keqing, and hopefully, in the last stage of the update, Hu Tao will officially rollout.
