‘The Gifted’
How will Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) deal with their mutant powers in “The Gifted” Season 1? Fox

Fox just dropped a six-minute sneak peek from the premiere episode of “The Gifted” Season 1.

The teaser opens with Clarice aka Blink (Jamie Chung) running away from the police officers who are trying to track her down. Before being caught, Blink manages to activate her superpowers which immediately take her to a different place.

Before meeting the other mutants, John Proudstar aka Thunderbird (Blair Redford) already felt her presence. He tells his friends, Lorna Dane aka Polaris (Emma Dumont) and Marcos aka Eclipse (Sean Teale) that he feels she’s close. They soon find her hiding inside an abandoned room, but Blink isn’t sure if she could trust the others.

After Eclipse tells her that they were once in the same position she is in and promised to help her out, she agrees to join them. Unfortunately, another batch of police officers learned that the fugitives are hiding inside the abandoned building and tries to capture them.

John, Lorna and Eclipse try to stop them by using their respective powers. When they finally managed to get out of the premises, a cop catches up to them and shoots Eclipse. He struggles and screams in pain, while Lorna tries to get back at the cop. The sneak peek ends with John dragging Eclipse into his car, but Lorna gets left behind.

The Marvel-based drama is inspired by some of the characters featured in the “X-Men” film. The TV series will revolve around the life of a suburban couple who will soon learn that their two children possess mutant powers. Kate (Amy Acker) and Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer) will show their daughter, Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind), and son, Andy (Percy Hynes White), support by helping them escape the government.

While on the run, they will get to meet a group of mutants that will help the Acker children come to terms with their gifts. They will also learn how difficult it is for mutants to fight for their lives and will be forced to do the same throughout the entire season.

“The Gifted” Season 1 will premiere on Fox on Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. EDT.
