Gotham Season 2 Synopsis
Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) will have to find a way to escape Hugo Strange’s custody in the Season 2 finale of “Gotham.” Fox

Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon came close to taking down Hugo Strange on Fox’s “Gotham,” but instead ended up getting trapped inside Indian Hill in episode 21. In the Season 2 finale, the two are going to have to find a way to get out and stop Strange before his monsters run rampant in the city in episode 22, titled “Transference.”

According to the finale synopsis, Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) will remain at Indian Hill after being held prisoner by Hugo Strange (BD Wong). Fortunately for them, help is on the way thanks to Alfred (Sean Pertwee) going to the GCPD to let Bullock (Donal Logue) know that something had to have gone wrong at Arkham Asylum because the three never returned. Will Alfred, Bullock and the GCPD be able to get there in time?

When Alfred and Bullock arrive at Arkham, they’re going to run into a few problems. The synopsis says Strange’s inmates are going to plan their escape and if they get out they will cause chaos throughout the city. Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) was brought back to life in episode 21 and she is now more powerful than ever. She has the ability to have people do what she wants them to do just by touching them and could be very dangerous if she gets out, especially to Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor).

An imposter Gordon will also be on the loose in the finale, which could confused anyone who Gordon knows. Strange used his latest figure-changing experiment, Basil a.k.a. Clayface (Brian McManamon), to go out in the world and pretend to be the former police detective. Meanwhile, the real Gordon remains a prisoner to Strange, but he’s going to learn who’s pulling the strings for the twisted doctor. The Court of Owls were briefly introduced in episode 21 and the Season 2 finale promo shows Strange taking orders from them. He tells Gordon that a “secret council” that “controls everything in Gotham.”

Strange put Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) in charge of dealing with Bruce and Lucius in episode 21 and things weren’t looking good for them. Nygma was trying to discover everything they knew about Indian Hill and he threated to gas them to death if they didn’t tell him. Their clock was starting to run out and Bruce is shown clinging to life in the finale promo video.
