Olivia Rodrigo carried her three Grammy trophies backstage after Sunday night's event for a photoshoot. However, the 19-year-old singer dropped and broke one of the trophies as she prepared to pose for the cameras.

In a video, shared by Variety, the Grammy-winning artist could be seen preparing to stand before the cameras when one of the trophies hit the floor and broke. Rodrigo stood surprised with her two other trophies in hand. A photographer could be heard in the background saying, "That's all right. We'll just put it on your bill. We have no credit card on file." Rodrigo and the crowd erupted in laughter.

An assistant quickly came and temporarily pieced the trophy back together so the singer could finish her photoshoot.

Rodrigo won three awards Sunday night, including Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album for "Sour" and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Drivers License."

A similar thing happened to Rodrigo's musical hero, Taylor Swift, 12 years ago. Swift, who was 20 years old then, accidentally dropped and broke one of her four trophies while posing for the cameras in 2010.

Rodrigo has often cited Swift as one of her biggest musical influences. The "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" actress earlier revealed that Swift had sent her a handwritten note and a ring to congratulate her on the success of her debut single.

"She is absolutely the kindest individual in the whole world," Rodrigo said in an interview with SiriusXM in March 2021. "And she gave me this ring because she said she wore one just like it when she wrote 'Red' and she wanted me to have one like it."

In a separate interview with Billboard last May, she revealed some of the details of the handwritten letter.

"I don't want to divulge too much because it's really sweet and personal, but she talks a lot about how, I think, you make your own luck in the world. And when you do kind things to others, good things come your way," she said.
