Who said February was the month of love? In the world of Shonda Rhimes, the creator behind “Grey’s Anatomy,” it’s the month of drama! And that’s just what fans should expect when episode 10 airs Thursday.

According to the synopsis for next week’s installment, “The Bed’s Too Big Without You” (named after The Police’s hit single), episode 10 will heavily focus around April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson’s (Jesse Williams) heartbreaking storyline. In the Season 11 winter finale, it was revealed that the duo’s child had osteogenesis imperfecta, meaning that their baby would be born with brittle bones.

Dr. Herman (Geena Davis) explained the unfortunate fate of the baby, insisting he would only live for a couple weeks after being born. Jackson overheard Dr. Herman giving Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) the bad news, which is when she was forced to come clean to her ex-boyfriend about what she saw in the Buddha baby’s odd sonogram.

Jackson then had the task of relaying the gut-wrenching discovery to his pregnant wife in the show’s Season 11 winter premiere. The two each tried to cope with the disease in their own way, but eventually ended up in each other’s arms by the time episode 9 of “Grey’s Anatomy” concluded.

Now it looks like they’ll be facing the issue head-on when episode 10 airs. According to the synopsis, the couple will try to fight the disease every which way they can. “April stays optimistic as Arizona begins testing on her baby while Dr. Herman plans out a crash course in fetal surgery,” the synopsis explained. But will they be able to find a way to save the little Buddha baby?

Meanwhile Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Callie (Sara Ramirez) will spend episode 10 encouraging one another to get back into the dating scene. Does this mean fans can finally anticipate the Owen/Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) romance for which they’ve all been waiting?

Audiences can also expect Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Maggie (Kelly McCreary) and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to work side by side as the ladies test out a 3D printer “to gain a better understanding of their patient’s tumor.”

“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 11, episode 10, will air Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
