“Grey’s Anatomy” will return with more gripping drama when the hit ABC series airs its Season 11 premiere on Thursday, Sept. 25. Excited? Well you totally should be because according to the promo photos from episode 1 fans will have a bloody good time watching the nail-biting action go down in “I Must Have Lost It in the Wind.”

The synopsis for the show’s Season 11 premiere teases that “witch Cristina gone, a new doctor, Maggie Pierce, will make the rounds.” In the Season 10 finale it was revealed that Maggie was actually the love child between Weber and Ellis, which makes Maggie Meredith’s half-sister. And from the promo pictures released online it looks like these two ladies will be experiencing their own form of sisterly bonding when a freak accident occurs, “causing two teenagers to be caught in a very compromising position.”

But viewers can anticipate personal drama to occur in the premiere as well as medical thrills. The summary reveals Derek, who still wants to move to Washington D.C., will "struggle to regain a sense of normalcy both at home and in the hospital.” When we last saw Mer-Der they were arguing over whether or not to move. While Derek had his hopes set on Washington Meredith couldn’t bring herself to follow in her father’s footsteps of being her significant other’s shadow. In a promo for Season 11 viewers can see the couple struggling with their newest obstacle. Meredith even questions if her marriage will survive the duo’s latest argument.

“Meanwhile, Callie and Arizona come to a decision about surrogacy,” the synopsis teases, adding that Amelia will overhear a big secret. Could that have something to do with Weber knowing that Maggie is actually his daughter? Bailey will realize in the premiere that she’ll have to fight Alex if she wants to snag Cristina’s board seat. Although Weber gave her the position in the Season 10 finale, Cristina handed down the job to Karev who we doubt would be willing to give up such a prestigious title.
