Hallmark Channel ‘With Love, Christmas’ Premiere: Meet The Cast, Watch Trailer

Not only does Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas continue tonight with the premiere of “With Love, Christmas,” but the new film also marks the start of the channel’s Five Night Thanksgiving Movie Event.

Star of the network’s hit series “Chesapeake Shores,” Emilie Ullerup, is bringing her Hallmark flair to “With Love, Christmas,” where she’s be joined by Aaron O’Connell. This is the third year in a row that O’Connell’s been in a Hallmark Christmas movie, with his first being “12 Gifts of Christmas” in 2015 with Katrina Law.

Now, Ullerup and O’Connell are bringing the Christmas spirit in this Thanksgiving Eve premiere. The two star as creative executives, Melanie and Donovan, respectively, who are paired together to work on a new cellphone Christmas account. While Donovan takes a straight-forward approach, Melanie is set on really giving it that Christmas love.

Aside from working with Donovan, Melanie also draws his name in the Secret Santa gift exchange.

“Christmas is definitely in Melanie’s wheelhouse, especially when it comes to finding perfect presents. But when she draws Donovan’s name for the Secret Santa gift exchange, she’s totally at a loss,” the synopsis teases. “She usually knows what to buy people by getting to know them, but Donovan is as reserved and minimalist as his advertising style, and he never participates in his coworkers’ social activities.”

After asking her sister (Rebecca Davis) what she should do, Melanie decides to open a Secret Santa email account to reach out to Donovan and ask what he wants, but he only gives her very basic answers. Now she has both the gift exchange and the account pitch to worry about.

“Determined to infuse Donovan and the Evergreen Mobile pitch with the joy of Christmas, Melanie keeps emailing him as Secret Santa and takes him to Stamford’s North Pole Tree Farm, a holiday extravaganza filled with acres of Christmas cheer,” the synopsis shares. “Directing his attention to the excited face of a little girl about to get her picture taken with Santa Claus, Melanie explains how their ad campaign has to tap into that feeling of wonder that the holidays bring.”

As the two continue to email back and forth, Donovan starts to really open up. But will he be upset when he finds out his Secret Santa is Melanie? Or will he be happy to know that that the woman he’s been working closely with and the one he’s been emailing are one and the same?

“With Love, Christmas” debuts on the Hallmark Channel on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST.​
