There's a storm brewing on ABC’s “How to Get Away With Murder” — can Annalise (Viola Davis) and the Keating Five weather it?

The Season 2, episode 12 synopsis says Phillip’s (Jefferson White) potential return will create quite a stir for the Middleton University law professor and her team of young, hopeful attorneys. Much of the episode will be spent trying to get into his twisted mind to avoid giving him the opportunity to get ahead of them. With video from the night of Annalise’s shooting out there, they can't afford to make any mistakes.

Video for the upcoming episode suggests the blackmailer, believed to be Phillip, will have a few demands for Annalise and her motley crew of crooked law students. In one scene she can be heard reading an email that demands $1 million be deposited in a linked bank account. If the money is not in the account within 36 hours, the sender promises to go to police with the video previously sent to Connor (Jack Falahee). The short clip suggests this threat will weigh heavily on the Keating Five, who are already beginning to fall apart. Annalise will attempt to quell the nerves of her studentss, but they just may be at their breaking points.

Meanwhile, Wes (Alfred Enoch) will dive deeper into his mother’s death, which he previously believed was a suicide. Armed with documents somehow linked to his mother’s past — left for him by Annalise in episode 11 — and the help of new friend Laurel (Karla Souza), the synopsis suggests Wes’ life will be turned upside down. The more he digs, the more he realizes that “some things just aren’t adding up” ABC’s site teases.

Could her death have been a murder, rather than a suicide? Tune in Thursday at 10 p.m. EST on ABC for all that and more. Check out a preview for the episode below:
