Jamie Foxx is looking a bit different these days, and by different we mean buff.

The actor is currently undergoing a complete body transformation for his upcoming role in a biopic about legendary boxer Mike Tyson and shared some snippets of his progress with his over 10 million Instagram followers on Friday.

Alongside a blurry photo showing off his bulging arm muscles, Foxx wrote, "The transformation begins... 'FINDING MIKE.' It is no secret that I have been pursuing the @miketyson biopic for some time... people always ask me when is it going to happen?... things have finally lined up... A few months ago we started the journey."

"The first but biggest task is to transform the body," he continued. "With a regiment of pull-ups dips and push-ups we are off to a pretty good start… we have a ways to go but God willing."

Fans of the actor will recall he previously portrayed Ray Charles in the 2004 movie "Ray," for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor. While speaking with producer Mark Birnbaum on Instagram Live on Thursday, Foxx opened up about pursuing the new biographical movie.

"Look, doing biographies is a tough thing," he explained. "Sometimes it takes 20 years to get them done."

The ball is finally rolling on the Tyson project now though, which means the 52-year-old has been hitting the gym pretty hard to bulk up for the leading role. While the above photos are clear evidence that his upper body is benefitting from the hard work, Foxx admitted that his lower body could use some help.

"Every other day I do 60 pull-ups, we do 60 dips, we do 100 pushups -- it's changing the body," he shared. "I ain't got no legs. I ain’t got no calf muscles, so we might have to get some prosthetics for that."
