Prince Philip is known for having a wicked sense of humor. And there have been several occasions wherein he made jokes at the expense of Queen Elizabeth II.

During one occasion, royal correspondent James Whitaker said that the Duke of Edinburgh made a rude joke about Her Majesty, and the monarch was less than impressed when she heard what her husband said.

“When Philip’s cousin Patrician Mountbatten remarked on Elizabeth’s flawless complexion, the Prince joked: ‘Yes, and she’s like that all over!’” he said.

This wasn’t the only time that Prince Philip tried to make his wife laugh but failed. Years ago, the dad of four hid one of the Queen’s Corgis in a desk cupboard. When the Queen arrived and looked for her beloved pet, the Duke said that he didn’t know where the mutt was.

But the Corgi made noise upon hearing Her Majesty’s voice, and the Queen soon learned that Prince Philip hid the dog inside the desk. The incident resulted in the monarch telling off her husband and urging him to not show off whenever there are guests around.

After the Queen left the room, the Duke launched a scathing attack at his wife while talking to one of the guests.

“Who does she think she is?” a source from the Buckingham Palace claimed.

Meanwhile, Prince Philip also made headlines this week after royal fans were given an update about his health. Even though Prince Charles’ dad has already retired, it seems that he is still performing royal duties every now and then. This suggests that at the age of 98, he’s still very healthy.

But in the event that Prince Philip dies, the entire United Kingdom and royal fans across the globe will be in mourning. The announcement of his passing will be coursed through the BBC.

Shortly after, the flags around the UK will be flown at half-mast. The prime minister will also decide if certain business and sports events will be canceled to pay respect to the late royal.
