In order for the “How to Get Away With Murder” and “Scandal” crossover to work, there is one actress, who starred in both series, who should be extra careful about her appearance.

This actress is none other than Liza Weil, who played now-deceased White House intern Amanda Tanner on the first season of “Scandal” and attorney Bonnie Winterbottom on “How to Get Away With Murder.” Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Bonnie would not be interacting with any of the “Scandal” characters during the “How to Get Away With Murder” episode, and she will not appear at all in the “Scandal” episode featuring the crossover on ABC.

One thing’s for certain though — Viola Davis, who plays Annalise Keating in “How to Get Away With Murder,” and Kerry Washington, who plays Olivia Pope, are going to have so much fun with the crossover.

“It was black girl magic on steroids!” Davis gushed. “Me and Kerry dancing to ‘Rock the Boat’? Hey, it can’t get any better.”

Washington added, “I really love Viola. I have such immense respect and admiration for her.”

Executive producer Pete Norwalk earlier shared a photo of the script on Twitter which features the first time Olivia and Annalise would meet. “People think we lie for a living. In fact, the truth is often our greatest weapon,” Olivia said in the script. Her attention was later diverted when she hears someone say, “Not knowing they’re in a crisis.” She then comes face to face with none other than “Keating. Annalise Keating.”

Based on netizens’ reaction, this crossover is going to be one of the most watched both series will ever. “This just made my year already. How exciting. Anticipation is building,” a fan wrote. Another hilariously added, “Dear Mr.Nowalk and Master Shonda. I just learned my possible cause of death. ‘Death by Enthusiasm’ Why are you doing this to me!!!”

According to Variety, the “Scandal” crossover episode was written by Raamla Mohamed and directed by Tony Goldwyn. Meanwhile, the “How to Get Away with Murder” crossover episode was written by Morenike Balogun and Sarah L. Thompson with Zetna Fuentes directing.

The two-hour crossover event will take place on March 1 on ABC, with “Scandal” first airing at 9 p.m. followed by “How to Get Away With Murder” at 10 p.m.
