A new era begins on Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C., as Donald Trump is set to be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States.

Inauguration Day will include a packed schedule for the incoming president and his family. Traditional events typically include a morning worshiping service, processions, the president’s swearing-in ceremony, an inaugural address and a series of parties and inaugural balls.

Harry Truman, who was sworn into office in 1949, was the first president to have his inauguration televised. In 1997, Bill Clinton became the first president to have his swearing-in ceremony live-streamed on the internet.

The upcoming inauguration will take place on the West Lawn of the Capitol with over 800,000 spectators, according to reports. Trump will give his inaugural speech after he takes his oath of office. The main event will commence with opening remarks at 11:30 a.m. ET. A luncheon will follow the swearing-in ceremony and speech, and then the inaugural parade will take place at about 3 p.m. ET.

The inauguration festivities can be viewed on a variety of television and online outlets. The White House will have a live stream that should begin at about 6 a.m. ET. Special YouTube channels and C-Span will also host live streams.

Major TV networks, including all of the 24-hour cable news networks, will broadcast the events live. ABC, Fox, CBS and NBC networks will include live streams of the events.
