“Terminator: Genisys” may have mixed reviews, but there is a reason to see it in theaters on Saturday, July 4. The first teaser video for “Independence Day 2” is rumored to premiere ahead of all screenings of the reboot.

AICN broke the news on Friday that fans of the 1996 fantasy thriller could get their first peek at the sequel, “Independence Day: Resurgence,” in theaters on "Saturday only." The reason? Saturday is Independence Day. The site posted documents from a theater that listed the trailer ahead of “Terminator: Genisys” as “FOX Independence Day Resurgence “A.” Film reporter Ethan Anderton was able to confirm the news with a source at a local AMC theatre who said that the trailer clocks in at 35 seconds.

Although the timing would be appropriate considering the holiday, no official word on the trailer has been released from 20th Century Fox. However, the official Twitter account for the movie has been busy posting videos and photos to celebrate the Fourth of July. The rumors come just a few weeks after the sequel title and plot details were released at a press conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“Independence Day: Resurgence” stars Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Vivica A. Fox and Bill Pullman. According to the synopsis for the film, the sequel will pick up with the nations joining together to create “an immense defense program to protect” Earth. However, it’s up to “a few brave men and women” when the aliens return with “advanced and unprecedented force.” The film is expected to hit theaters on June 24, 2016.
