KEY POINTS

  • The penthouse, called Petersham House, has direct elevator access
  • Hugh Grant reportedly found the property too ostentatious so he sold it in 2003
  • The pad has struggled to find a buyer for years and went through several price cuts

The London penthouse where actor Hugh Grant lived when he was still filming “Love Actually” is up for sale again.

The property, called Petersham House, was recently listed on the market for $11 million — down $2.8 million from its initial asking price of $13.8 million when it was first listed back in 2019, according to New York Post.

The three-bedroom penthouse is described as the “ultimate bachelor pad” as it has 3,000 square feet of space and features floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as an open-floor design.

It is situated on the seventh floor of the building, and it comes with luxurious amenities, such as a hot tub on the roof, a massive primary suite, a private gym and two large guest bedrooms.

Petersham House also has two expansive terraces that cover 1,500 square feet of private outdoor space. It has direct elevator access that lands to the property’s reception room.

Grant lived in the South Kensington property back in 2002. The actor, who is known for being publicity-shy, reportedly did not like the ostentatious feel of the penthouse, so he sold it in 2003 for $4.8 million.

The contemporary style property has seemingly struggled to find a buyer since it was previously listed in August for an asking price of roughly $12.3 million, Forbes reported.

“This penthouse is ideal for someone wanting a trophy home in one of Prime Central London’s favored spots with so much of South Kensington’s wonderful shops, restaurants and museums on the doorstep,” Peter Preedy of property consultancy Alexander Millett told the outlet.

“Accessed via a discreet entrance offering secure elevator access up to the penthouse, it’s ideal for those who like privacy, hence its appeal to Hugh Grant who lived here between 2002 and 2003,” Preedy added.

The news comes days after Grant’s longtime friend and former flame Elizabeth Hurley praised him for being a great father to his children. The two first met in 1987 and dated for 13 years before calling it quits.

“He’s very happily married. I spent some time with him and his wife [Anna Elisabet Eberstein] a few weeks ago at a birthday party. He has five children. He’s a great daddy,” Hurley said of Grant in an interview with The Sunday Times.
