It’s time to suit up! “Iron Man VR” has officially gone gold and is well on its way to hit its target release date.

In an announcement on Twitter, Camouflaj – the game’s developer – announced that the highly anticipated Marvel title is officially completed and will now be entering physical reproduction. This means that it will be able to launch on time on July 3.

“After years of hard work, we are proud to announce that MARVEL’S IRON MAN VR has officially gone gold! We can’t wait for everyone to #SuitUp when the game releases exclusively for PlayStation VR on July 3,” Camouflaj wrote on Twitter along with a photo of the team behind the game.

“Iron Man VR” was supposed to be released last May 15, but Sony announced beforehand that it would be delayed due to the challenges posed by the coronavirus crisis. With the developer forced to adopt a work-from-home set-up, it also caused major changes in the production timeline of the game.

Fortunately, Sony and Camouflaj were able to quickly come up with a new release date, pushing the game to just roughly one and a half months from its original launch.

Several fans have been patiently waiting for “Iron Man VR,” as it is one of the biggest exclusive titles coming to PlayStation VR. It is also set to be one of the most exciting and promising games in Sony’s VR console, thanks to its interesting gameplay and storyline.

“Iron Man VR” is a shooter game in which players take on the role of the genius inventor Tony Stark. The game will feature a lot of on-air battles as players suit up as Iron Man and fight supervillains with the gear’s Repulsor jets.

The focus of the game, however, is Iron Man’s battle against a hacker and anti-corporate activist called Ghost. The said villain uses Stark’s weapons to lay waste and wage war against the world.

Now, fans do not need to wait for long to experience becoming Iron Man themselves. While the coronavirus crisis hasn’t died down yet, it is unlikely to cause any delay in the production of the Marvel shooter.

“Iron Man VR” is a PSVR exclusive and will officially launch on July 3.
