Although Liv (Rose McIver) and Ravi’s (Rahul Kohli) relationship on “iZombie” couldn’t be more platonic, there are actually some fans who want to see the two become a couple. But does McIver think the show will ever go into that direction?

During a Facebook Live Q&A with fans, McIver was asked if Liv and Ravi will ever get together, and her answer couldn’t be blunter. “No, not a chance,” the Kiwi actress said. “They are friends. They would spoil it terribly if they tried to date.”

Although McIver thinks that Ravi is a very likeable guy, she strongly believes that Ravi and Liv’s friendship will be at risk once they date each other. “He’s such a great guy,” McIver said of Ravi. “[But it] would be a novelty if it’s sort of like, ‘Oh let’s see if these two friends can get together,’ and then end up jeopardizing a whole longtime friendship. It’s just too precious to lose.”

McIver added that Rahul is now like a brother to her, so she can’t imagine how that will work out for them if that ends up happening.

While a Liv-Ravi romance likely won’t happen, McIver revealed that she personally wants to see Ravi end up with Peyton (Aly Michalka), who, on the other hand, happens to be attracted to Blaine (David Anders). “I am completely Team Ravi,” McIver said. “As a protector and best friend, I can’t think of anybody worse to pair Peyton up with than Blaine. But it’s that sort of undeniable chemistry thing that people fall into where they end with wrong person because they have this crazy attraction, and that’s what Peyton and Blaine had. So I’m a huge champion for Peyton and Ravi.”

In a recent interview with TVLine, executive producer Rob Thomas revealed that they didn’t originally imagine the relationships between Ravi, Peyton and Blaine to be a love triangle, but Season 3 goes “down that well a bit.”

“iZombie” Season 3, episode 1, titled “Heaven Just Got a Little Smoother,” airs on Tuesday, April 4 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
