  • Alexa Nikolas addressed her former "Zoey 101" co-star Jamie Lynn Spears' claims about her in the latter's new memoir
  • Nikolas claimed that nothing Spears wrote about her actually happened
  • She accused Spears of being a "bully" and of playing the victim while "lying"

Jamie Lynn Spears' former "Zoey 101" co-star Alexa Nikolas didn't mince her words when she spoke out against the former on social media.

The "Walking Dead" alum wasn't thrilled with what Spears had to say about their feud in leaked pages from the latter's new memoir, "Things I Should Have Said."

In a statement on Instagram Thursday, Nikolas shared her thoughts on the book, writing: "I was pretty surprised to see her lying up a storm in there."

"I recently thought we were fine after she tried to use me in her 'Zoey 101' music video to make herself look better after I finally came out about what happened to me while on set/being left out once again during the reunion reboot ploy," Nikolas claimed.

She claimed that it took a while for Spears to reach out, suggesting that it may have been "pressure from others" that forced her former co-star to address the issue. Nikolas said she declined Spears' offer to appear in the music video but was "happy" to get an apology and thus "forgave" her.

However, Nikolas unfollowed Spears shortly after because "the whole Britney Spears family situation was deeply saddening, and once again, I felt Jamie was being fake," she claimed. "Her reaching out of all of a sudden was insincere."

According to Nikolas, Spears allegedly reached out to her a few days ago offering to send her a "gift," a move she found to be "super bizarre" after she heard that Britney unfollowed her younger sister on Instagram.

"I have no idea what is going on over there with her, but I want [absolutely] nothing to do with it," Nikolas continued. "Typical move for a bully to play the victim card/gaslight others while straight-up lying. I responded to her and said, 'Please do not send me anything and please stop contacting me.'"

Nikolas went on to address the leaked pages from Jamie Lynn's memoir that recently surfaced online, claiming that her former co-star had never discussed "anything that she mentioned in the book" to her personally. The "Criminal Minds" alum claimed that if Jamie Lynn had done so, she would have called her out on her "lies."

"I wish I could go back in time and tell my 12-year-old self that you are actually extremely lucky to not have a friend like her. You are way better off without her. You don’t need toxic people in your life like that and you deserve better. And that’s the truth on that. I don’t mind saying all the things I should say for free," Nikolas concluded her post.

Nikolas' claims come after social media users shared excerpts from Jamie Lynn's new book online. In the leaked passages, Jamie Lynn claimed she was never on the same page with Nikolas when they worked together on "Zoey 101," according to Us Weekly.

Jamie Lynn claimed that after hearing rumors about herself, she was allegedly told that Nikolas was the one behind the comments. She said she then took her concerns to producers, but this allegedly resulted in the chatter about her taking on "a more sinister feel."

In one instance, Nikolas allegedly said that Jamie Lynn "smelled bad," which led the "Sweet Magnolias" actress to leave the set "humiliated and sad."

Jamie Lynn further claimed that she went to her older sister for support, and Britney came to the set to talk to Nikolas. The tension and rumors allegedly stopped after that, according to Jamie Lynn.

A source "familiar with the situation" told E! News that the issues between Jamie Lynn and Nikolas were when they were 12 and 13 years old and that they have since been resolved.

"Jamie Lynn reached out to Alexa to make sure that she was included in any future plans for 'Zoey 101' moving forward and wanted to extend an olive branch," the unnamed insider said. "They have been in touch with each other over the past year and a half and moved on from the childhood drama. Jamie Lynn has sent gifts to her newborn and things between the two have been great."

Jamie Lynn's memoir "Things I Should Have Said" is coming out Tuesday.
