“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 changed the dynamics of the cast when Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) started falling in love again with his ex-wife, Petra (Yael Grobglas).

In the past two seasons, Rafael was busy pining for Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) while Petra pined over him. So now that the tables have turned, will Jane feel jealous now that she isn’t Rafael’s lady love?

“Right now, everybody is kind of in a nice equilibrium - Jane and Petra and Rafael - and once Rafael starts to have feelings for Petra, that does change the dynamic between all of them,” show creator Jennie Snyder Urman told TV Guide.

When asked if Jane is jealous over Rafael’s feelings, or if Jane is simply worried about Rafael being more partial to Petra and their kids, Snyder chose to keep mum. She did not rule out Jane falling back in love with her ex, even teasing that “people’s feelings are constantly evolving.”

The Jane and Rafael reunion seems highly possible, especially since Baldoni told Entertainment Tonight earlier that they have now attained what Jane and Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) shared in the past: a solid friendship. “They’ve been through crazy, crazy things but they’ve been able to come out the other side and remain friends,” he said. “What’s great about that, for all the Jane and Rafael ‘shippers, is that if there were anything to happen in the future, is that there’s a foundation for that, whereas before, there wasn’t.”

Snyder even told Entertainment Weekly that the ups and downs of Jane’s romantic life is all part of her big journey. She might have lost the love of her life abruptly, but that does not mean she won’t learn to love again. “What I want to see in the back half of the series is how she regains some of that optimism, some of that love, and starts to believe in romance again and how it’s different from what she first thought it was, so we’re going to get into that and how does Jane believe in magic again,” she explained.

For now, Jane is dating her dad Rogelio dela Vega’s (Jaime Camil) co-star Fabian (Francisco San Martin). Due to Fabian’s good looks and sexy body, Jane can’t help but crush on him. She constantly visited her father’s set just to ogle him and even pretended to like healthy food just to strike up a conversation with the star.

However, in Chapter 60, Fabian showed a sweet side of himself when he helped Jane get more followers on Twitter in order to improve her book’s marketing plans. Another plus is that he is a huge fan of Rogelio. So as difficult as it was for Rogelio to let Jane date his co-star, he reluctantly gave her his blessing. It’s great seeing Jane ecstatic over a new guy, but her relationship with Fabian might not last long given her long list of suitors lined up.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
