Jennifer Aniston has stayed mum about her divorce from Brad Pitt for years. But one incident encouraged her to finally say her piece.

Vanity Fair journalist Leslie Bennetts claimed that it was Angelina Jolie’s pregnancy that encouraged Aniston to break her silence regarding her divorce.

“I think she finally felt it was time to say her piece. I think possibly the most hurtful and infuriating for Jennifer was the report that she wouldn’t have Brad’s child and that’s why their marriage ended,” she said.

Pitt got Jolie pregnant with Shiloh just months after he and Aniston called it quits. And during the “Friends” star’s interview with the publication, she said that she never said anything about not wanting to have kids.

Aniston also refuted the claims that she doesn’t want to have a child because it may affect her career. She said that she would never give up the experience of getting pregnant for her job.

Meanwhile, Aniston didn’t realize that Pitt was cheating on her before they ended their five-year marriage. In fact, when the couple released their joint statement announcing their decision to part ways, Aniston thought that there was no one else involved.

“We wrote it together, very consciously, and felt very good about it. We exited this relationship as beautifully as we entered it,” she said.

As such, when Aniston found out that Pitt jumped into a relationship with Jolie shortly after their divorce, she said that she was shocked and the whole world was shocked as well.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Aniston shared how she dealt with her split from Pitt. She said that she first had to come to the realization that relationships are not a one-way street.

Since two people are involved in the relationship, both of them are accountable. And if it fails, both of them are to be blamed.
