Democratic nominee Joe Biden, along with the Democratic National Committee, raised a record $365 million in August, his campaign announced Wednesday. The fundraising coincided with the Democratic National Convention and Biden’s decision to choose Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris of California as his running mate.

Biden’s campaign said it raised over $70 million during the four-day convention from Aug. 17-20. The campaign also said it raised $48 million in the 48 hours after Harris was chosen for the vice-presidential slot on Aug. 11.

The Trump campaign has not released its figures for August yet. Trump’s campaign raised a record $165 million in July.

In an email to supporters, the Trump campaign sounded the alarm about Biden’s August fundraising haul.

"I'll never be intimidated by these Radical Socialists and their dirty MEGA DONOR MONEY, but I can't ignore that $350,000,000 in one month is a massive amount of cash,” the email said.

The Biden campaign has reserved $280 million in television and digital advertising for the fall, targeting 15 battleground states. The Trump campaign plans to spend more than $6 million on video ads in the first week of September and has also made significant investments in digital advertising on sites such as YouTube.

Most general election polls show Biden with a strong lead on Trump.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday showed Biden with a 10-point lead over Trump, 52% to 42%. An Economist/YouGov poll shows Biden with an 11-point lead, 51% to 40%.
