John Krasinski shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos, revealing that the filming of the high-anticipated prequel, "A Quiet Place: Day One" has begun.

In the first photo, the 43-year-old actor is seen holding a clapperboard that reads the title of the movie and also mentioned director Michael Sarnoski's name in the bottom left.

The actor stood with the clapperboard in front of a city street and a shop named, "907 Wang Fang Meat Market" can be seen in the background. In the next two photos, Krasinski can be seen talking to the cast and crew. Actress Lupita Nyong'o was also featured in one of the photos.

"Requisite photo of slate on day 1... this time with a twist!" Krasinski wrote alongside the photo. "So honored to be there day 1 of @AQuietPlace DAY ONE with the maestro @MichaelSarnoski and legendary @Lupita_Nyongo."

He added, "Cannot wait to see what magic they conjure in this one!"

The 2018 horror thriller, "A Quiet Place" was Krasinski's directorial debut, in which he co-starred alongside his wife, actress Emily Blunt. It revolves around a family, who has to live in silence to ensure that mysterious alien creatures do not find and kill them. Even the slightest noise can cost them their lives.

A sequel to the movie, "A Quiet Place Part II," also directed by Krasinski, was released two years later in 2020.

Considering the success of the horror franchise, Krasinski is all set to return with a prequel, which is slated to release on March 8, next year. However, this time the actor will not be directing the movie himself and Sarnoski will helm the flick. The plot of the prequel has been kept under wraps.

"A Quiet Place: Day One" will also star Joseph Quinn and Alex Wolff. Aside from this horror franchise, Krasinski is also working on a comedy movie, titled "Imaginary Friends," which will be penned and helmed by the actor himself.

Krasinski will reunite with "The Office" co-star Steve Carell for the upcoming movie, "Imaginary Friends." Apart from Carell, the movie will also feature Ryan Reynolds, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fiona Shaw, Louis Gossett Jr. and Bobby Moynihan.
