Several netizens reacted to Kanye West’s controversial post expressing his stand against modern slavery and saying he was the new Moses.

West has made yet another notorious post, which captured the eyes of multiple netizens on Twitter earlier today. The 43-year-old rapper claimed that the music industry and the National Basketball Association, known as the NBA, were “modern-day slave ships.”

West also said that he was placing his life on the line and he won’t watch his people be enslaved. The record producer conveyed to the public, in the same post, that he needed to see “everybody’s” contract at Universal and Sony.

What made the tweet even controversial was when Kim Kardashian’s husband said that he was the new Moses.

West’s tweet gained more than 15,000 retweets, 91,000 likes and multiple reactions from netizens since it went online. Some of them backed him up, while others told him to get help instead.

Some netizens, amid the multiple backlashes on West’s tweet, backed him up and warned that the rapper might be called out for his mental disorder.

West’s mental health issue was not uncommon to the public. His wife, Kardashian, even said in an Instagram post that those people close to West knew his heart and understood that his words —sometimes— misalign with his intentions, BBC reported.

Meanwhile, one netizen called out West in a tweet, over the too much pricing in his clothing and shoe wear. Another netizen stepped in and said that West had already spoken against the overpricing of his clothing.

The netizen also said that Kardashian’s husband has been trying to lower the production cost to make it more affordable.

Another netizen said that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, said the same thing. She said that West has “put his life on the line” to tell the truth but people were “too deep in the matrix” to understand.

Prince once compared the record contracts as with slavery, the Rolling Stone reported back in 2015, citing NPR. It was also reported that the late expressed his concerns over artists for having little control or insight on how labels over their music and its online profit.
