Kate Middleton’s secret sacrifices after marrying Prince William revealed in photos.

The Duchess of Cambridge is the picture-perfect future queen. She looks perfect in almost every shot whenever she is out and about, but that was not the case before she married the royal family.

According to News.com.au, Middleton was regularly photographed arriving and leaving exclusive nightclubs in London including Mahiki, Boujis and Raffles. In fact, her photos leaving nightclubs had become a staple to photo editors.

She had been seen with her locks disheveled, her cheeks flushed, and flopping into the back of a black cab. Middleton might not appear perfect in those photos, but she was clearly having fun. In contrast to the Duchess of Cambridge today, there is a “quality of forced jollity” whenever she steps out.

According to Daniela Elser, by marrying Prince William, Middleton traded her “opportunity to express joy and spontaneity for an existence marked by a need for constant restraint and impeccable self-control.”

“One thing that rarely if ever gets mentioned is that being a Windsor is never meant to be fun. For the monarchy to continue to thrive in this millennium it needs to continue to generate that most precious resource: respect,” Elser wrote.

“There is an implied sacrifice to royal duty and a need to project an air that contending with the weight of regal responsibility is something of a burden.”

Elser added that she was not criticizing Middleton’s life choices, but she felt that there was something poignant when looking back at the photos when Middleton was still known as “Nightclub Kate.” She continued saying that one of the biggest sacrifices Middleton made is “having the opportunity to have an unabashed good time in public.”

In related news, many disliked the Duchess of Cambridge because they felt that she’s lazy. The netizens compared her to her sister-in-law Meghan Markle and they realized that she could do more.

The Duchess of Sussex has joined the royal family for over a year, but she did more projects than Middleton. Some netizens said that they were disappointed with Middleton because she’s been with the royal family for eight years already but she seems to be stuck at year 1. One even called her “duchess do little.”
